A Muse Never Removed

The space behind the lampshade

Where the light recedes to sleep

A subtle shadow inked in memory

Passing through my thoughts

Driftwood down my river brain

Careening into dams of pain

You float through

Alive inside me

Navigating the gauntlet of my soul

A being bent on breaking free

Only to find you

One more fall into your glacial iris

A moment wrapped

In the heavenscape of your aura

The endless expanse of your love

Our love

Tucked away deep

Between a daydream

And this dream

We are the seams

Stitched together with cosmic thread

The winter coat of the Universe

Holds us close to it’s chest

And there we live

Where you have always been

A muse
